Community Kids uses Xplor Home as our family communication app. Our centre promotes sustainability through various initiatives, including recycling, maintaining worm gardens, and cultivating a large, expansive vegetable garden. My name is Katherine, and I’m proud to be the Centre Manager at Eden Academy Pakenham. With 12 years of experience in Early Education and as a parent myself, I understand the importance of creating a home away from home where families feel supported and children thrive. Children’s brains will develop faster in their first five years of life than at any other stage in their life. Therefore, it is important to provide your child with a nurturing and stimulating environment with a variety of ways for them to grow and learn. With 11 years of experience in early childhood education, I believe in dedicating time and space for children to grow while recognising individual  learning styles. At our Pakenham early learning centre, all meals are cooked fresh daily with no processed foods.
We create a sense of belonging for your child to ensure they feel heard and empowered to make choices, fostering their independence. We celebrate each child’s unique strengths, helping them to thrive in a supportive and inclusive environment. Eden Academy prioritises professional development, offering ongoing training and support to ensure our educators are equipped with the latest knowledge and skills. Goodstart Early Learning uses the StoryPark app to connect with parents throughout the day.

My daughter goes on excursions often and she comes home excited to share her stories of the day. And is always excited to see her friends and teachers Shikha and Roshini. Our transition to school program prepares children for a smooth start to primary school. Complimentary hat & wetbag are provided to help your child feel part of the Eden Academy community. Our Family Support Team can also help you find more G8 early learning centres near you, with the same offerings at the Community Kids centre you are interested in that have immediate availability.
Our early learning centre offers a Government-funded kindergarten program and long day care under the one roof. Our kindergarten teachers are University qualified and provide a play-based learning program that will support your child in learning the skills for school and life. This includes long day care, outside of school hours care and stand alone kindergarten programs.
Pre-Prep will be delivered through standalone (sessional) kindergartens and long day care centres. We have a spacious, stimulating family day care environment where your child learns, play and interact with other children. Our classrooms are highly spacious, properly ventilated and stuffed with age-appropriate learning materials.

I strive to create a welcoming and proactive environment where families feel heard, children feel safe, and educators are inspired to grow. Outside of work, I’m a proud mum of six and “Nanny” to ten wonderful grandchildren. My family experience gives me a deep appreciation for the trust families place in us and the importance of positive early learning experiences.
