Our cooking program gives little hands the chance to explore food in fun and creative ways. Both my kids are thriving, they’ve made lots of long-lasting friendships, and so have my husband and I. Located on the corner of Fulbourne Av and Yarrara Rd, we are conveniently located within 5 minutes' walking distance to Pennant Hills or Thornleigh railway stations. It is easily accessible by families traveling by car from West Pennant Hills, Cherrybrook, Beecroft, Westleigh, Normanhurst, and Wahroonga. Children who have completed at least one year of the Preschool Program and have had their fifth birthday on or before 31st July may enrol in Kindergarten for the following year.
At Pennant Hills Preschool (PHPS), we believe that "being happy" is the first and most important starting point in becoming a successful learner. Our gardening program allows children to dig, plant, and care for real gardens. We pay our respects to the traditional custodians of Country throughout all of Australia. We pay our respects to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders past, present and emerging and their deep connection to land, waters and community. Our students engage in over 25 inter-school sports championships annually in both primary and secondary. Every child deserves a place where they feel seen, supported and inspired to thrive.

Our programs are based on the Australian Government’s ‘Early Years Learning Framework’. We are closed on public holidays and have a Christmas shutdown period of approximately 2 weeks, during these times we do not charge fees. In addition, we do not charge administration fees or deposits.

This acknowledgment is an evolving, living, changing acknowledgment of our people, the Land and its Native Keepers. We will revisit this acknowledgment in order to reflect upon our practices and hold ourselves accountable. West Pennant Hills's average NQS Rating is Meeting National Quality Standard. We introduce simple vocabulary and phrases through songs, stories, and interactive play in a second language.
You’ll also have the opportunity to meet our team, explore our curriculum, and ask any questions. Preschools provide early education and care for children aged between 3 and 6, and usually operate during normal school terms and hours. Long day care centres offer early education and care for children from birth to 6, and are usually open for 48 weeks per year with extended hours.

The Hornsby Shire is a lively and welcoming community, perfect for raising a family. The centre is run very well, is clean, the food is healthy and tasty and the staff are lovely. I also feel like the staff are responsive to my queries and the children.

Our enrolment process is straightforward and designed to support you every step of the way. And this is a credit to Lisa and the educators as they have created a safe, nurturing and caring environment for the children. My daughter especially loves the art and craft which Lisa delivers in a creative way to ensure the children develop and build on their knowledge of literacy and numeracy.

I can see he really trusts everyone and is starting to feel more comfortable and confident. I love story park, it really helps put my mind at ease to be able to see what he's been doing and learning also gives me ideas for at home play time activities. Our all-inclusive preschool experience ensures that parents and children feel supported every step of the way.
