Art influences the overall well-being of a child, whether these skills are cognitive, language-based, physical, or emotional. When kids are curious, their minds are open to absorbing new knowledge, understanding things around them, and learning new skills. Curiousity encourages kids to keep learning throughout their lives. Studio Make offers a big range of drop-in classes for youths and adults. My son's experience with the Academy programs has been truly remarkable. After each class he would come home so inspired and excited to tell me all about the artist he learned about. Those conversations would lead us booth to googling that artist and learn more about his/her work, then do more painting at home. As a parent who comes from a fine art background, I couldn't wish for a better outcome. I think the effort and the research put by the artists who run the program to make each project age appropriate, educational as well as inspiring is tremendous.
This can be arranged if there is a vacancy or cancellation in another class time, and the student who has missed a class is available to attend at that other class time. There is no absolute guarantee that a replacement class will always be available for a specific class time requested by a student who has missed a class. Replacement classes are organised on an 'if possible' basis. The opportunity, to perhaps do a replacement class, is not the same as a credit for a missed class. Students returning from the previous term will be offered places for the new term before any new students are enrolled. Enrolments for the new term are finalised towards the very end of the current term.

If you were to ask any of my previous students what I enjoy the most, it would be just that! They will be guided by our artist teachers to create their own masterpieces in a supportive, warm, friendly environment. Your children will examine and discuss various art techniques and styles of different artists from around the world. Drawing Workshops – Tone and shading techniques are explored, as well as pattern and line.
